Remember those paper flower kits (click here to see the details) I shared earlier this week? Well, they were put to use as decorations at a surprise birthday luncheon I planned for a dear friend of mine.
You may remember that I used these kits to create a “wall of flowers” (seen here) at my daughter’s confirmation celebration. This time I used a different color scheme (coral and aqua) and attached them to the back of the white chair covers around the lunch table.
So easy to do…I punched a hole in one of the outer petals and tied some coordinating ribbon through it to attach the paper flower to the white satin sash that was tied around the chair cover. So simple and pretty! And they added just the right pop of color.
Other decorating details included a script style “K.” Obviously this is the initial of the guest of honor…the birthday girl! I styled the favor bags with the “K,” as well as the cake topper.
Disclaimer…I did not create this lovely cake. I only added the wood letter cake topper!
The coral and aqua color scheme were carried out with the centerpieces, the favor bags, and the ribbons.
The decorations were lovely, but even more special was the company of some very special ladies. It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the birthday of a close friend. Happy birthday K!
