Today is Dr. Suess Day, also known as Read Across America Day. This day is celebrated as a way to honor Dr. Suess, who was born on March 2, 1904. Everyone knows Dr. Suess…the author of our favorite childhood books, The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham, among others. Many schools and libraries set aside today to celebrate and encourage reading with various activities.
You can add a little Dr. Suess fun at your house with some alphabet and animal themed washi tape.
Decorate some coordinating paper plates with the washi tape. Be creative and whimsical with your designs! No two designs need to be the same. Give each plate a unique pattern for an eclectic look to your table.
Set the table and add some food for a fun breakfast or an after school snack.
Don’t forget to decorate some plastic cups using the washi tape!
Hope you enjoy some extra reading time today…maybe even a childhood classic like Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

Where on earth do you find this tape?
Beth Rotman says
These particular rolls of washi tape came from an etsy shop and the Art Supply Depo.
