It is October…in our house, that means we bring out the Halloween decorations and set the scene for some spooky and whimsical fun!
One of my favorite areas to decorate for any holiday is our living room mantel. I decided to change it up this year (click here to see last year’s mantel) with some simple Halloween decor.
It started with these vintage white picket fence sections that I stumbled upon at our local antique market. I saw them and thought how perfect they would be for this display (as well as many others), so I went back a few days later to purchase them.
I created a simple H A P P Y H A L L O W E E N banner using various patterns and colors of card stock, baker’s twine, and black alphabet stickers.
Then, I spray painted a large numeral 3 and 1 with orange and black paint, and tied them together with the same baker’s twine.
I added a trio of black candlesticks with mini pumpkins on top for the finishing touch.
And there it is…a simple and colorful mantel for the Halloween season!
