Who remembers the Halloween care package that I sent to my daughter at college last year? Well, I was afraid SHE would remember so I wanted to do something a bit different this year…
I started by filling the box with some fun fall snacks for her and her roommate. With one being a vegan and the other a vegetarian AND both being very health-conscious, the snacks were chosen with that in mind. Enough about that…I don’t want to ruin any surprises! I covered the snacks with shredded paper in black, white, and orange.
Then I attached gold glitter, orange, and black card stock to the box flaps. I used some alphabet letters to send the message…
TO SOME BOO-TIFUL FU GHOULS (FU stands for Furman University, by the way)
I added a few ghosts (ghouls) made out of white card stock on the smaller flaps.
Then I sealed the box, and off it went to college…
And from these images on Snapchat, it seems that the “boo-tiful ghouls” liked their package!
LOVE this! What a sweet Mama you are. Especially keeping their food preference in mind. My boys are 2 and 4 so I have a loooong time before I get to do this for them someday 🙂
Awe, thank you! Time spent raising kids goes by so quickly…you’ll blink and your boys will be grown.
