After refreshing that laundry room, I moved on to another home project…Claire’s bedroom.
She started asking me a few months ago if we could redo her room. I think she had outgrown the “Elsa blue” (think Frozen) color of the walls. When I asked her how she wanted to decorate it, she said ROSE GOLD. Now what 10 year old thinks of that…
She actually saw a jewelry box while out shopping and said she wanted her room to coordinate with it.
So with that being the inspiration piece for the room…we spent the past few months planning and looking for new bedding, choosing a paint color, picking out a new vanity table, loveseat, and all the fun accent decor. Then I spent about a week painting her room…one coat of primer, followed by four coats of paint. That’s a story in itself, but let’s just say it was truly a labor of love. Remember what I said about a fresh coat of paint really freshens up a room…well, this room is REALLY fresh!
Claire LOVES the way it turned out! I do, too…I’m thinking of moving in there myself. It’s so grownup, but yet very feminine and girly.
Now comes the warning…LOTS of pictures ahead! They do say a picture is worth a thousand words, though.
I’m including a list of sources for anything new that we purchased for the room, as well as links if possible.
