strawberry chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup strawberries (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 370 degrees.  Line baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium size bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla using an electric mixer until combined.

  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing between each egg.

  5. Add flour mixture and mix until just combined.  Be careful not to overmix.

  6. Using a spatula, stir in the strawberries and chocolate chips until combined.

  7. Using an ice cream scooper, scoop dough into balls about 2 tablespoons each and place onto prepared baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.

  9. Immediately after taking cookies out of the oven, place some additional chocolate chips on top of he cookies. Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack.
