Are your valentine bouquets starting to droop a little? No need to toss them in the trash! Here’s an idea to make them last a little longer…just in a different form than those blossoms in the vase that you have admired all week. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a sugar scrub with those wilting petals.
You will need the following…1 1/2 cups of plain white sugar, 1/4 cup of baby oil, 10-12 rose petals, and a blender.
Pour the sugar in the blender, followed by the baby oil and top it off with the rose petals. Then mix together for a few minutes until thoroughly blended.
If you prefer a smoother sugar scrub, add more baby oil to the mixture. If you like it a little fluffier, then stick with the 1/4 cup of baby oil. I added a bit more to mine…need all the moisturizer I can get in this dry winter season!
Spoon it into a pretty glass container (mason jars work great for this)! I used a covered glass sugar bowl for mine. After all, it is a SUGAR scrub! It looks so pretty in my bathroom right now.
An easy DIY project AND a great remedy for those dry, winter hands!
