My daughter’s basketball team played their final game of the season last week. Not a winning season, but a fun one! As one last activity, the coach organized a pizza/ ice cream party. Like I said, they like to have fun!
I offered to bring the toppings for the ice cream. So…I had to make it cute and festive!
I started with these cute tags and wooden basketballs that I found at the craft store. I used a hot glue gun to attach a wooden stick to the back of each brown paper tag.
Then I glued a wooden basketball to the front of each tag. The item labels (M&M’s, granola, crushed Oreos, peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, whipped cream, etc) were printed on the computer, cut out, and attached to the front of each sign. To complete each sign, I tied some black bakers twine through each pre-punched hole on the brown tags.
I anchored these signs to the inside of metal pails for most of the toppings.
A few of the toppings (chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, basketball shaped sugars, sprinkles) were best served out of mason jars.
So many toppings…how will the girls decide how to “top” their ice cream?
For an extra treat, I also created basketball cupcakes using black licorice and orange jimmies.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for…basketball!

Do you keep all your cute little accessories, signage etc? Box it up and store in the basement for the next daughter? Or just throw away when done? It’s all so cute!!

Thank you! Yes, I TRY to save most things! Wish I had more storage space in my house, though.
