If you have young ones, this is a fun lunch idea for the Easter season. I prepared these a few years ago for our play group Easter egg hunt, and the kids loved them! I think the lunch was just as fun as the egg hunt!
You will need an empty egg carton and a dozen plastic eggs…and the food you wish to serve for lunch.
It is as easy as filling the eggs with mini portions of lunch food…bite size peanut butter sandwiches, cut up strawberries and melon, grapes, goldfish, carrot slices, cheese cubes. Anything will work! Just be sure it is small in size.
Then snap the eggs together and close the egg carton container. I thought it needed a little extra something, so I tied it with a ribbon and added a name tag. After all, it is about the presentation!
Your kids just might eat all their fruits and veggies…if they were always packaged in this egg-cellent way!

Healthy and fun idea. Easy too!
