Eye shadow, lip gloss,
Lotion, and more…
These are the things
Ladies adore!
Those words on the invitation set the theme for a “Favorite Beauty Item” party that I co-hosted with a good friend of mine. She had the idea for the party and asked me to plan and host it with her. We had a lot of fun tossing ideas around…and even more fun the night of the party!
Our guests were greeted at the front door by a wreath adorned with beauty items such as nail polish, eyelash curlers, eyeshadow, lip gloss, and makeup brushes. Definitely setting the mood for a “girls only” evening!
Each guest was asked to bring their favorite beauty item to share with the group. When our friends arrived, we asked them to write the name of the beauty product on a folded piece of pink card stock. Then the items were displayed on tables for all to see and sample.
The canvas hanging from the staircase was painted (thanks to my daughter and her friends) to match the design on the invitations and stickers. A bright pink, black and metallic gold color scheme worked perfectly! The quaint black vanity table and bench made a great stopping point for the guests to write their cards.
We also recorded everyone’s items on a sheet of paper…we made copies of it for everyone before they left that night.
Next stop was the bar for a glass of wine or a cocktail!
Then it was time to mingle and check out the beauty products everyone brought…
There were apothecary jars filled with makeup sponges, Q-tips, cotton balls, wipes, and mirrors scattered around the tables for our guests to use while sampling the beauty products.
The color scheme and beauty item theme were carried out on the food table, as well.
The centerpiece was a glass container filled with retro pink and black hair curlers, along with more beauty items…lip gloss, nail polish, and eyeshadow.
Shrimp, fruit/cheese/cracker plate, mini cupcakes, soft tortilla wraps, and cookies made for perfect finger food…
Yes, those are cookies…aren’t they beautiful!
The guests were given bags filled with samples of beauty items at the end of the evening.
I think everyone had a great time visiting with friends, and hopefully they learned some new beauty secrets…I know I did!
