It’s apple picking time in the midwest! We love our trips to the apple orchard on those warm fall afternoons that start out with a cool crispness in the air. My girls love finding just the right variety of trees and then begin filling a bushel basket with the red (and sometimes green) fruit.
We usually come home with so many apples that I could spend the next several months baking with them! I pack them in lunchboxes and add apple slices to salads…but another great way to serve them is to add a few fun ingredients to make a tasty snack.
You will need…
- apples (any variety, but I use honey crisp)
- peanut butter
- mini chocolate chips
Simply slice the apples and cut into bite-size pieces.
Melt the peanut butter in the microwave, and drizzle over the apple pieces.
Finally, sprinkle the mini chocolate chips on top.
So easy, but be warned…this snack will disappear quickly!
